Where to even begin with BT. First of all the closed my account with out evn telling me and billd me £90 for it, i then had to open a new account and was charged £25. Due to BT disconnecting my line, i lost my internet and my BT Vision. After my new line being connected, it took them 2 weeks ot get my BT Vision sorted and their custoer agents were telling me thatmy BT INternet had been ordered and would be activated ASAP. Turned out that it never was activated at all and that theBT agent was full of crap and had not done her Job correctly. I then had to wait another week for my Internet to be activated. On the Billig side, i had give them my bank details toset up a monthly DD, i got my first bill through and they had decided to place me on Quaterly billing even though i had set up a monthly DD, or so i thought. I onl went with BT becasue the area i lived in, with most of them at the time you had to have a BT line to get the internet and this as the only service proider in the area, if i had a choice i would of gone with Telewest or Virgin Media as it is now.
With the £90 charge they gave me for diconnecting my phone line i refused t pay it as i did not requst it to be cancled, BT said fair enough and withdrew the charge, how ver they still saw fit to then send this on to debt collection agency called Westcott. I made severel phone calls to BT and everytime th assure me that this had been sorted and that they would contact the debt collection agency...did they?...Did the Fook! I had letters coming thrugh so i just phoned up BT and told them i would take them to court and that i had recored conversations and that i would go to trading standards about this. BT's customer service is the worst i have ever come accross ever, i cant believe the way they deal with their customers, its so awful.
Along with this charge, they decided to take £33 out of my bank last week for an account that should of been closed months ago when i oved from my last property. I had to contact them, find out why, the agent on th phone said she did not know why and that i wpuld have to contact my bank to get the money back. Luckily due to the direct debt garuntee you are able to claim for it and the bank will credt your account with the funds that same day however any charges will have to be dealt wit by the debitor.
To top it all off, BT managed to knock a Brick out of my wall when installing my phone line and their claims department still have not got back to me.
BT are the worst telcoms compnay ever, if you have a choice of using anothe provider, please think twice abou using BT.
And yes i had to pay £125 twice for installing my phone line. I consider my self a rite MUG!
