    Re: return a second hand car

    yes indeed, after having read about carcraft on this website, it seems that AS SOON as you have signed on the dotted line...done deal, no comebacks.....read a proper horror story and it seems much more bother than its worth, told my son this and he has decided to just pay it off as fast as he can and learned a valuable though costly lesson. thank you for your help anyway

    Re: return a second hand car

    Hi --- In fact the sale is now concluded and the deal is done after such a period of time, the word of the salesman could not be relied upon unless he was to actually confirm that he said this.

    When you enter a three way credit agreement upon which the sale depended, in this case ....your SIL, Carcraft and the Finance co.

    You then only have a very small window of opportunity to cancel the finance deal and terminate the whole agreement. This can only be done by sending written confirmation of your desire to cancel to the finance co. before the authorised signatory (usually the manager) signs the agreement at the finance company end, once this has happened the deal is legally completed and cannot be undone.

    return a second hand car

    my son in law bought a car from carcraft 7 days ago....an 02 clio anyway he has since seen the same car for 2-3 thousand pounds cheaper on other forecourts, he told me that he wanted to return the car as he felt 'ripped off' he said he was told that he had 30 days grace in which to return it if he wished, when he called there customer servces they just laughed...more or less...and said there wasa no such thing...cant find anything in the documentation that says this either so i think the salesman just said thatto make his sale, but, is there not something about a 'cooling off' period when you buy something on finance, can anyone help me clarify this and how i could word such a request to return the car. i feel partly responsible as its his first car and it was my idea to go to carcraft....only cos of the tv advertising campaign.
