Please can you advise me, I am looking to finance a car with my dad acting as guarantor on the finance. I have called a garage today and apparently this is not as easy as I thought it would be.

Has anyone got any advise? My credit is poor but my dads is great.

Do I have a chance getting finance through the garage, or do I do something independently?

Are there any penalties for getting finance which is guaranteed?

Any suggestions/ideas welcome

Lisa - No such thing exists. What they should state is the truth........ finance is obtainable, but at extremely high or extortianate APR%'s for people who otherwise have adverse, or little credit history - (ironically that is the penalty).

Sometimes things are just not meant to be.!

Oh dear, thats a shame. what would be an alternative? save or see if my dad can do the finance for the car?
