    Hi,

    We have ordered a new sofa and two chairs from DFS by phone on Wednesday. As yet the paper work has not arrived so we have not signed anything.

    I want to cancel the order as we have found the same sofa but cheaper from another store. As I have not signed the agreement can I cancel the order? I would like to know my rights before I give them a call as I expect the customer service team to try everything to stop me from cancelling.

    The fact you have not signed any agreements or paid a deposit means that no legally binding contract has yet been entered into, by either party. Therefore simply phone DFS and tell them you do not wish to proceed.

    That's their problem, It's your money.....be assertive and tell them the truth why you are no longer interested. You will probably be met with some sort of resistance, or they may offer to match or improve the other price you've been offered, but at the end of the day if you do not wish to proceed....that is your prerogative.
