I also signed up just to reply to this thread, firstly I'd like to say to all who posted on here thanks sooooooooo much been trying for a Bank acc for ages, just wanted to take the strain off my mother for using her account for DD's and using her card online which she hates.

Thats all I wanted was a account that had DD facilities and a Debit card, and like those comments above the Co-op absolutley FANTASTIC cannot fault them. So happy and overjoyed , brilliant.

Coop basic bank account has been excellent for me, wages paid in, can sort direct debits, standing orders online and have a debit card.

No hassle sign up even when bankrupt!
