re phoned dvla today they confirmed it had been scrapped i asked by who..they said it must be by my insurance company......so i phone my crap insurance company and asked them why they have scrapped my car when it still belongs to me as no monies has been paid out on it and its still a on going claim ..i asked them why i got no call ..no email..nor a letter saying this was going to happen .im still under the illusion they have to offer it back to you first how can this be justified this firm is the biggest waste of time i have ever come across...i also asked them did they manage to find a map of the road they started looking for 2-3 weeks ago..i asked is there any news on the claim itself ..he told me what i already knew its still ongoing .....when i re asked about why they scrapped my car without telling us he said i will get someone to phone you back ...i asked him did he want a £5 bet no one will..

PEOPLE BE WARNED ..GATEWAY INSURANCE YOU WOULD BE MAD TO USE THIS COMPANY

Well to say they were going to get straight back to me it's now 7.30pm.

i even emailed swinton to ask them no reply from them either

you can bet your last dollar if you owed them £5 they wouldnt stop calling you

just come of the phone to gateway insurance asked the question that i asked 2 days ago why have you scrapped my car..when it says in your letter that the car is still my property.. 10 mins on hold and told someone would ring me back ..just like they said 2 days ago..i asked her did she want a £5 bet as well..

she said she didnt like my attitude i said i dont like your company she said shes not there to discuss my opinion about there company..i said im not here to discuss my attitude that you dont like

she assured me someone will call back within 2 hours ..its now 10 past 2 lets see what 10 past 4 brings

they just phoned what a waste of time looks like i need a solicitor they say it says in the letter that they will take possesion of it and reserve the right to dispose of it within 1 month

i said it states in the letter the vehicle will remain your property until your claim is complete

this is what the letter states word for word

i recieved the dvla scrapped letter on the 3rd of april 2009

and she had the cheek to ask me why i have took so long to get in touch

she also snarrled that there not going to increase there offer ov £150 scrap value

even though that was never brought up by me she must of thought ill show you

i could of scrapped it myself for more

anyone know were u can get a little 1.4 auto in great running order for £150

10 vg reasons why not to use gateway insurance

1.... there frightened of fighting a case with all ammo supplied against a piece of speculation

2...they will take your fully comp money knowing they will right the car off because of its age and wont have to do anything else

3...there fast bloody fast at doing sod all 9 months of it

4....its a nightmare trying to get a answer from them im still waiting for someone to explain why they want me to except a 50/50 ...

5... when u do finally get through to them its always the same...... some one will be in touch or get back to you

ive spent there pittance they offered me on phoning them over the 9 months

6 they say one thing in black and white but mean something completley different that suits them

7 there cheap for a reason they say you get what u pay for in my case there worse than that

8 some of there staff dont have a clue when u phone or email them its like why do i bother..

answer being... because you cant let the bar stewards get u down not for £150 anyway

9...if you not bothered about aftercare this is the insurance for you cheap n nasty

well i wrote to honestjohn.co.uk who helps motorist

his reply was take them to the Small claims County Court. Sue them to provide you with an
equivalent car to the one they scrapped. as the car is still legaly yours untill the claim is settled

i would love to see them try and find me a 1.4 engine automatic car with tax .mot for £150

even though we paid £600 for it

its looking like a email to citizens advice next see what they recommend

goodluck oldham red hit em were it hurts its insurance companys like them that make claiming a bloody nightmare

stating there not prepared to fund a course of action as they believe it will come to a 50/50 nothing new there then

the letter states that that the junction is traffic light controlled ...i asked them does that mean my right off way going straight ahead means its ok for him to go through his set of lights turn right across the junction and across 2 lanes into my path ... after he went through his lights and turned right he should of give way he had no right pulling out at all this pirate insurance company are scared stiff of fighting my corner

these idiots need to get some balls its not traffic light controlled after hes turned right from his lights its a square junction anyone with common sense can see you must give way .put it this way if he did it on his driving test he would of failed his test guarenteed

i can highly reccommend acromas insurance as there doing a fantastic job of helping the other claimant scaring the lives out of gateway with absolutley nothing and pushing them for 50/50...i wish they were representing me this claim would of been put to bed 6 months ago

my insurance say its traffic light controlled..well answer this after hes come through his lights at the cross roads he turns right he is immediatley faced by a red light as hes now going in the opposite direction to his and my green light so what you are saying is he can ignore that light as well as ignore giving way to my right of way

dont forget to ask your broker when renewing or buying insurance who you will be actually insured by especially if your using swinton as they recommend these cowboys if they say gateway be warned there useless..

update....what update coming up to 10 months now.still no help from these useless people not even a decent explanation to why they scrapped my car without my consent or without paying a penny out on it yet..i could of used that as a part x i hear there bringing up tp £2000 px now
