Who said i was not going to pay for goods that i had bought?
Why defend the banks when they are the ones who have brought about the recession through their greed (buying subprime mortgages to enhance their own pay. Every time the government drops the base rate the majority of banks do nothing, reposessions are at an all time high and the banks show no compassion whatsoever (unless the government force them to). City bosses take their multi million pound bonuses regardless of how much money they have cost their shareholders (including our pension funds). What about the years of mis sold insurance policies and mortgages or extortionate bank charges?
Your enlightened stance is to criticise the little guy, who for once has the chance to use the law to his advantage.
I think you have missed the point, the contract is ILLEGAL (It is not my fault that they hav'nt done their jobs properly). In their haste to lend as much money as possible (for the reasons detailed previously) they have failed to ensure that the contract is even signed. If you forgot to declare something on your insurance policy and subsequently had your car written off, do you think the insurance company would pay? (even though you had paid your premiums)
As it happens i have paid off this card but i would like to know the legal position so that other people who are not in my position (and have entered into an ILLEGAL contract could benefit.
