This was from a link from Moneysupermarket.com as recommended by the mobile phone expert Rob Barnes which is why I felt safe in proceeding. I have not re-ordered and I am monitoring my bank account etc very carefully. Thanks for your comments.

Was this on e-bay? Is it an UK based company?

serious companies all have automated reply and ordering system, so not to hear at all from them makes it a bit dubious.

they have your bank details now anyways, so if they are to commit any fraud, they already have what they need.

even if they do not have any criminal intentions it is not really clever to replace an order with them. who is so disorganised to lose an order in the first place, will cause problems with shipping, refund and service in the second place as well.

long story short: don't!

My husband placed an order via the internet but did not receive a confirmation e-mail of his order. He then e-mailed the company and received an automated response saying the e-mail address was invalid. He then contacted the company who were very vague and said the web address was fine as far as they knew. They then said they couldn't find the order and told me to re-order. I expressed concern about bank details and card details already supplied and they weren't at all reassuring. Can this company be trusted?
