• Re: Mortgage general.

Unfortunately Northern Rock have been pretty inflexible (unreasonable) now that they have been bailed out, and should you have needed to move and rent out, they would likely not be very helpful. With the mortgage LTV that you have you the rate that you are on is not bad. Also as you are on the SVR they can put the rate up (and possibly down) ...

  • Re: Credit card groups

I believe that the HSBC credit card is supplied by HSBC themselves rather than by another provider. You should have a fairly open list of options (just check before you apply that they are not also backed by HSBC). HTH Sparky.

  • Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

nervous wreck: We got a letter from our solicitor this week saying they couldn't act for clients on litigation with the developer as it would be a conflict of interest. Interesting! Have you been in contact with the legal complaints Service (from the Law Society) about the solicitors conduct now that they state it would be a conflict of ...

  • Re: Need to know rough outstanding mortgage amount in 4.5 years??

Yes, it will be just under 60K probably around £59,850. When looking at repaying / redeeming a mortgage, there are other costs (fees) involved but closer to the time you can ask your lender for a redemption figure which should include all these costs. They should be detailed in your mortgage information. You should also note that the ...

  • Re: Need to know rough outstanding mortgage amount in 4.5 years??

You have a 35 year mortgage, which means that you will be paying even less off in 5 years than a 25 year mortgage. Any particular reason for this choice? As you have mentioned saving, I would suggest that you will struggle to generate as much interest as you are paying on your mortgage, and I would look to make overpayments on the mortgage ...

MBNA is also a provider of a lot of credit cards, for instance the Virgin Credit Card, which tends to have good introductory offers for Balance transfers. HTH Sparky.

  • Re: drive the deal - anyone bought a car through them?

So you are blaming Drive the deal rather than the dealer? The quote they provided sounds very competitive. Did you let DTD know that you hadn't been contacted, or had they told you which Dealer should call? I'd go back to them about it. Sparky.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!... (see I can write in shouting text too!) Huckster has taken the time and energy to read your post and provide advice on your situation with the information that you provided. • Re: A lot of Debt....And no Job...

I think you are in need of specific debt advice which you would be best seeking from: The CAB (citizens advice bureau) www.citizensadvice.org.uk CCCS Consumer Credit Counselling Service www.cccs.co.uk National debtline www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/ You may need to enter an IVA, a dept management plan or even (at worst) go bankrupt. Make a list ...
