can some one tell me which consumer act i should quote when writing to a company to get back a deposit on a car that i decided not to buy.they held the car and they have now sold it after i said not interested but they tell it is non refundable but is transferrable to another car ( but i have decided not to but from them) any advice welcome

what are the implications of bankruptcy ?( not that i am thinking of doing it :) )   i just think if people new more about it they may have second thoughts?

speak to your bank first it could be an admin error.ask them why has it taken 2 years for them to chase this?  when you recieved settlement letter and accepted amount how did you pay? also check your credit file as that will tell you if the account was settled hope this helps a bit.

go for it. but ask for the cash back there and then in the deal that is what myself and partner have done on our last three contracts( my last one they gave me £50 and my partner £100 ) so barter with them and if they don't offer cashback there and then tell them you won't take out the contract and walk away. i bet they will ...
