Thank you for those bits of info. My concerns were raised when some sales people from another Power Provider , recently suggested other companies didn't have a daily charge just for the priveledge of buying electricity from them. I don't always maximise my off-peak power, I must admit!!

I am presently a Scottish Hydro Electric Customer on Economy 10 Tarriff.New pricing indicates I will be paying a Service Charge of £0.2183 per day(almost £80 p.a!!). Do other Power Companies have a Service Charge? also - How do I know what tariff with other Providers is equivalent to the Economy 10 as I don't see it ...

Can anybody recommend a safe, reliable, low cost company to use to transfer amounts of money (in US Dollars), of between £500 & &2000, from UK to USA? Looking on-line I got £46 cost to free, but was unsure about reliability and safety of most companies, as this is new territory for me. Thank you.
