    Bank draft is cancelled if it is counterfeit. Sometimes it is not detected immediately and the bank pays the money into the account and states it has been cleared but later on when the bank finds out that the draft is counterfeit it will approach you or reverse the transaction.

    Just an update, I provided police with the evidence that my car was not at the place/time of the incident. I have now received a letter that they have closed the case and no further action will be taken. This whole thing caused mental stress and I am not happy with the other party who made false allegation. Is there anything legally I can do?
